Moharram is the month in which justice rose against injustice,
Truth stood up against falsehood
And proved that this would always be,
In the course of world history.
The Imam who sat on the shoulders of the beloved Nabi SAW,
Today was suffering from the pain of innumerable wounds,
Imam Hussain stood alone in the desert of Karbala,
Saying, “God I have done my duty.
I am ready to step on the land of Karbala.”
Sometimes held high on the Prohet’s SAW shoulder,
Sometimes aloft on the top of the javelin,
No matter where or when, the name of Imam Husain AS continues to stand high.
The sacrifice of Imam Hussain is not the story of one nation or faith,
But it is the a lesson of loyalty and bravery for the fraternity of mankind.
Visit Karbala but even once in your life time,
So when you die you will feel,
“I have been to piece of Heaven when I lived.”
